I am a massage therapist and I have been doing yoga now for about a year. I got involved with yoga because I needed a way to relax myself and it has opened this new window of light in my life. I can't say enough positive things about the way it makes me feel inside and out. I will admit to being a competitive person and at first it would upset me when I could not do poses others people had no trouble with. Now I know it isn't about outdoing anyone, you have to listen to your body and feel what it allows you do. I guess you could say practicing yoga got my ego in check and it doesn't bother me now when I can't do something. I just breathe deep and thank my body for what it as allowed me to do. My absolute favorite yoga posture is chaturanga (jumping back and holding it an inch off the floor.) I love the way my abs feel the next day. Some of my interests are exercise and movies. I have a dog, a golden retriever named Bailey. I love sushi and I really try to live a healthy lifestyle. Here
